What started out as an interview for a secretary position at an engineering company turned into an opportunity for her to go through a training program where she would learn to become a designer for not just the Oil, Gas & Chemical Industry but she has also held roles in the Pipeline, Offshore, Pharmaceutical, Pulp & Paper and Nuclear Industries as well. Although the early years of her career were quite difficult, she says that she wouldn't change a thing. Over the years she learned that no one was going to pull out a seat at the table for her, and that was completely okay. Having a lack of other women to look up to as she was starting her career has given Kristin the push to help encourage and empower the next generation of Women in AEC by sharing the lessons she's learned along her way.
